Myriam Aadli

Myriam Aadli's work reaffirms photography as an act of presence rather than production. Rooted in the humanist tradition,she explores contemporary questions of visibility and ethics. Since 1988, she has developed a body of work based on wandering, where looking becomes relationship. Working across continents, she favors encounter over extraction. Her practice is built on time observation,and tacit connection with her subjects. Influenced by theatre, she reveals subtle micro-moments of humanity through a of humanity through a restrained visual language focused on emotional depth and authenticity.

Alongside her photography work, she was an agent for painters from 2010 to 2024 and a theatre director (1998–2009), specialising in creations and adaptations, after training at the Actor's Studio in New York (1986–1988) and completing a Master's degree in cinematography at ESEC Paris (1984-1986). Represented by Lemarchand Art Consulting, her work is regularly published in international magazines such as Géo, Inspired Street Photography, B&W World, ISP Magazine and Dodho.
