Daniel Heinz
Daniel Heinz (b. 2001, Leipzig) is a painter working under the name danh1z. Trained as a glass and porcelain painter in Kaufbeuren, he has worked independently since 2019. His paintings are built on layered precision — a foundation he works against through gestural mark-making with palette knife, brush, and fluid paint. The subjects shift: animals, automobiles, figures. The visual language stays the same. Works held in private and institutional collections across Europe, the USA, and South Korea.

Trained as a glass and porcelain painter at the Berufsfachschule für Glas und Schmuck in Kaufbeuren, Germany. This formal education built a deep foundation in layered application, surface precision, and material sensitivity — elements that remain central to his painting practice today. Working independently since 2019, Heinz has developed a visual language that builds on this craft while pushing against it through gestural and expressive methods.
