Christopher Lee Gilmer

Christopher Lee Gilmer is a self-taught American-Filipino artist known for his surreal and dreamlike paintings. His work often explores themes of mental health, mythology, and the human condition. Gilmer's art career began after a period of hospitalization. During this time, he was inspired by the work of Salvador Dali and David Hockney and began to use art as a form of catharsis.

Within  his imagery, Chris Gilmer delves into the complexity of existence, inviting viewers to contemplate the enigmatic nature of reality drawing inspiration from psychology, quantum mechanics and the esoteric.

Primarily self-taught with a focus on art history.
