Veronica Ciccarese

Veronica Ciccarese was born in Puglia. A self-taught artist, she favors oil painting as her

primary language. From the roots of classical figurative art, she has evolved into the freedom

of the symbol, where the unconscious emerges upon the canvas. While her goal was once a

strict fidelity to reality, today it is a fidelity to emotion. Her work features dreamlike

atmospheres that inhabit a time suspended between the past and the vertigo of the surreal

beyond time and space, at the intersection of dream and reality.
