A free hand drawer, painter, sculptor and designer, Santiago Dancourt, born in Lima, Perú in 1953, started to draw cars at the age of three, according to his mother and never stopped, a self-taught artist, he began to work with acrylic paintings and brushes in 1996 while living in Venezuela.
His acrylics over canvas paintings are the struggling end of hundreds of brushstrokes and several layers of painting in his efforts to reflect the speed, the wind, the passion and the movement of motor racing, while his acrylic over watercolor cardboards are usually standing still portraits of classic cars. He also spend some years painting seascapes and sailing boats.
