Nataliya Derevyanko
As a narrative symbolist, I create emotionally charged paintings that explore the loss of home, the fragility of personal space, vulnerability, alienation, and belonging. My visual language is rooted in sacred art, which marked the beginning of my artistic journey. I work through symbolic and imaginative imagery, bringing personal memories into dialogue with collective experience. Childhood becomes a lens through which I examine how early fears, emotional wounds, and memories continue to shape adult life. My paintings blur the boundaries between innocence and anxiety, reality and imagination, fragility and transformation.

Nataliya Derevyanko was born in Ukraine. From 1991 to 1995, she studied Graphic Design at the Ivan Trush Lviv College of Decorative and Applied Arts. From 1995 to 2001, she continued her studies at the Faculty of Sacred Art of the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Since 2001, she has worked as a visual artist. She is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the Union of Designers of Ukraine. Her biography is included in the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine.
