Gill Bustamante

My name is Gill Bustamante and I am a professional artist living in Forest Row, England. I paint large semi-abstract landscapes and wildlife paintings. My paintings are inspired by the things I see during regular hikes in and around Sussex and beyond. They are mostly painted from memory in order to better capture the ‘essence’ of the location and the season and any birds or wildlife I saw. My paintings are completely unique in style. My aim is to capture the majesty of the nature and landscapes I see as well as the spiritual energy of them which I hope will help inspire the urge to protect and nurture them in others. I did an art foundation at Chelsea and completed a Fine Art degree in Brighton in 1983.

Fine Art degree, Brighton, 1983

In 2020 I became an award-winning artist in UK TV’s BBC1 program ‘Home is Where the Art Is’ (which can still be seen on BBC iPlayer). My art has been featured in TV ads and in many online or magazine publications and via art licensing companies.
