Cédric Brion
Cédric Brion, born in 1978 in Mons (Belgium), is an independent photographic artist whose universe explores dark and introspective worlds. Passionate about visual arts since childhood, he discovered photography at 18 with a film camera, developing his prints in his bedroom. I try to create portraits that transport the viewer into another universe. I like to see my portraits as windows open to imaginary worlds, where light emerges from shadow.

1994 -1998 - Artistic studies in applied arts  1998 - Qualification in Plastic Arts 2000 - Assistant photographer at Frank Uyttenhove in Brussels 2001 - Training as a graphic designer at Créaform 2002 - Infac photography school in Brussels 2018 -Training with the artist photographer Delphine Cencig. Self-taught training on Photoshop and Lightroom.

2025 - Winner of the Zari Art Prize, London (Photography) 2025 2025 –Winner at the Epson France Contest (Water) 2024 - Gold Medal* at the *VIEPA* Vienna Photography Award  2024 with my photograph *The refuge* 2023 - Bronze medal at Grand Concours Tokyo International Photography Awards  2023- Winner of Photo Magazine's  2023-2024 Largest Competition- 5 nominations at the Fine Art Photography Awards  2023- Winner of Photo Magazine’s Biggest competition  2022- 4 gold medals in the portrait category at the New-york photography awards  2022- 2 honourable mentions in the portrait category at the Chromatic photography awards
