Andrei Bulatov
Andrei Bulatov is a watercolor artist who paints directly from life, seeking places where history, architecture, nature, and everyday objects reveal their unique character. Trained as an architect, he is drawn to historic buildings, quiet landscapes, and carefully composed still lifes. Working primarily en plein air, he captures not only the appearance of a place but also its light, atmosphere, and sense of time through transparent watercolor. His paintings reflect close observation, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of ordinary moments.

Professional Experience * Lecturer, Department of Sculpture, Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute, Russia. * Architect and Chief Artist of Kaluga, Russia (1984–1992), contributing to major urban design and public space projects in Kaluga and Moscow. * Independent artist and designer since 2003. * Participated in the restoration project of a historic house in Mariinsk, Ural Region, Russia. * Since 2021, based in Bulgaria, continuing to develop a body of work in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, and wood sculpture.
